Certified Podiatrist - Clayton Park

Arthritis & Injury Care Centre is seeking a licensed Podiatrist to join our growing multidisciplinary practice in Clayton Park, Nova Scotia.
For more than 26 years, Arthritis & Injury Care Centre has been a trusted provider of non-surgical musculoskeletal care across Atlantic Canada. Our collaborative team includes physicians, podiatrists, physiotherapists, pedorthists, orthotists, bracing specialists, nurses and experienced administrative professionals.
We take care of the operational side of healthcare so our clinicians can focus on their patients. You will benefit from an established practice, strong referral relationships, modern equipment, clinical collaboration and comprehensive administrative support.
This is an excellent opportunity for a podiatrist who wants to build a rewarding practice without the burden of operating a clinic independently. The successful candidate will assess and treat a broad range of foot and lower-limb conditions while working alongside an experienced musculoskeletal healthcare team.
The position may be structured as full-time or part-time, depending on the successful candidate’s availability and preferred schedule.
- Assess, diagnose and treat conditions affecting the feet and lower limbs
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Provide routine and advanced podiatric care within the clinician’s authorized scope of practice
- Treat conditions involving foot pain, skin and nail health, biomechanics, mobility and function
- Assess patients for orthotics, footwear modifications and other supportive devices
- Provide diabetic and high-risk foot assessments and preventative education
- Perform approved clinical procedures in accordance with Nova Scotia regulations and professional scope of practice
- Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation
- Communicate treatment recommendations clearly to patients and their families
- Collaborate with physicians, pedorthists, orthotists, physiotherapists, nurses and other members of the clinical team
- Develop strong relationships with local physicians and other referral partners
- Maintain all professional, ethical, privacy and infection-control standards
- Degree or recognized post-secondary qualification in podiatry
- Licensed or eligible for registration and licensure as a podiatrist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
- Professional liability insurance, or eligibility to obtain coverage
- Strong clinical assessment, communication and patient-care skills
- Commitment to collaborative, evidence-based and patient-centred care
