5 Ways Pilates Can Help You!
Clinical Pilates
This modified form of Pilates is created and offered in conjunction with rehabilitation and injury prevention and is meant to support the treatment methods provided by your clinician (physiotherapy, chiropractic, etc). This 5-week program is designed with the participants at the forefront. The class is structured with the clients’ needs in mind. We will work together to create the structure in week one, ensuring all clients feel safe and supported. This class is offered to anyone looking to support new or recurring injuries.
Traditional Pilates
This modern and functional Pilates class will combine the method and understanding of Classical Pilates with the fun and flow of Contemporary Pilates. This class will be done on the mat with a series of props, while also offering modifications and adjustments as needed. Props will be utilized as both a challenge and in assistance while also ensuring all clients feel safe and supported within their bodies.

Frequently Asked Questions
Clinical Pilates can help with a wide range of injuries, including chronic back pain, herniated discs, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, ligament sprains, and muscle strains. It is also beneficial for post-surgical rehabilitation, such as recovery from knee or hip replacements, rotator cuff repairs, and spinal surgeries. Additionally, it supports neurological conditions like stroke recovery and multiple sclerosis by improving balance and coordination. By focusing on controlled movement, strength, and flexibility, Clinical Pilates helps reduce pain, restore function, and prevent re-injury in a safe, guided environment.
In a Pilates class, you can expect a guided, low-impact workout focused on core strength, flexibility, posture, and movement control. Depending on the class, you may use a mat or specialized equipment like a reformer, resistance bands, or stability balls. A trained instructor will lead you through controlled movements, emphasizing proper technique, breathing, and muscle engagement to improve alignment and prevent injury. If you’re attending a Clinical Pilates session, the exercises will be customized to your specific needs, whether for injury rehabilitation, pain relief, or mobility enhancement. The class provides a calm yet challenging environment, leaving you feeling stronger, more balanced, and refreshed.
Traditional Pilates is a structured exercise method focused on overall fitness, strength, flexibility, and core stability, often performed in group classes using mats or specialized equipment like reformers. It emphasizes controlled movements, breathing, and posture to enhance general well-being and athletic performance. In contrast, Clinical Pilates is tailored to individual rehabilitation needs, designed and supervised by trained professionals to address specific injuries, chronic pain, or mobility issues. It incorporates modified exercises based on medical conditions and movement assessments, making it a safer, more personalized approach for those recovering from injury or managing physical limitations.
